Company Profile
SLV.Global provides students and graduates the opportunity to gain valuable mental health work experience in Sri Lanka, India and Bali, Indonesia. Our focus is on global mental health and on bolstering the existing resources in the communities where we work. Our aim is to provide skilled volunteers the chance to participate in a well-rounded, culturally immersive experience, which involves working at psychiatric facilities, social initiatives for adults and children with disabilities and teaching English.
On our Mental Health placements in Sri Lanka and Bali, Indonesia, volunteers work as Activity Support Workers and also all-round positive role models in the community. We work with students learning English to individuals residing in institutionalised care across the local communities. Volunteers on all of our placements have the opportunity to learn from local professionals to increase their knowledge and enhance their skill set whilst being immersed in an exciting new culture.
We have also developed our week-long Educational Program in India, where we are partnered with NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience) and the School of Ancient Wisdom. This program is designed for people without the time or the inclination to do an extended placement abroad, but also for anyone looking to explore how ancient Eastern techniques can complement modern methods to treat mental health concerns.
We are always on the lookout for passionate, motivated individuals who have a keen interest and knowledge of psychology, healthcare and/or mental health to join our teams and continue to provide valuable resources to the communities we work with. SLV.Global was founded by a group of Psychology graduates, so we are well aware of the importance of gaining valuable, relevant experience to progress into a career in the field and we have developed the placements with that in mind.
