Company Profile
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading independent charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. Our ambition is to accelerate progress and see three in four people surviving the disease by 2034. To achieve this, our strategy is focused on preventing, diagnosing and treating over 200 types of cancer. We have discovered new ways to beat cancer that together have saved hundreds of thousands of lives across the world. We also provide cancer information to the public to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer and we’ve had huge success influencing government policy, including the introduction of plain cigarette packaging.
When you join CRUK, you’re doing something different, something extraordinary. You’re changing lives. We are looking for smart, sharp minded graduates to help achieve our goals. Our graduates are passionate in their work, determined, stand out communicators and effective relationship builders.
What does a graduate scheme at an organisation like this offer? All graduates are put through their paces from the very beginning. Whether joining Fundraising & Marketing; Scientific Strategy and Funding; Technology; Finance, HR or Policy, Information and Communications streams, you will have the exciting opportunity to rotate across four diverse business areas over the course of two years.
Graduates receive support and challenge from senior mentors, peers and placement managers along their journey with formal training whilst transitioning between placements. Placements are varied, stretching and business critical. From day one you will be working on high profile projects with leaders across the organisation; drawing on and developing your individual strengths, talents and experience. CRUK invest in their talent, therefore all of their graduate placements are permanent roles.
If you’re looking to gain some extra experience before taking on a graduate role, why not apply for one of our summer internship placements?
