Details

The scheme lasts 3 years and is rotational in nature and location, offering potential placements abroad. With opportunities available in marketing, sales, finance, security, HR and technology the possibilities are endless. We welcome students with an honours degree in any discipline.

Each graduate will be allocated a buddy, typically someone outside of the first rotation placement. This buddy will be someone who is in their early career too, encouraging open conversation and a reference point for professional queries.

The graduate scheme will start in September in our London offices. The first week will be an opportunity to learn more about the business from our senior management team and leaders of business units. Those that are hired are done so on the basis we believe in you and your ability, so you will be required to hit the ground running. You will be provided training for the systems our employee community uses on a regular basis, with external conferences to attend in each rotation.

Believing in continuous development, our graduates will work closely with our learning & development teams to progress through a purpose built online learning platform developing a suite of business skills ranging from professional networking to budget management.

The second year of the scheme has the potential to offer students an international placement dependant on business need across our global organisation. With the third and final year providing students with the opportunity to select an area they would like to specialise in given their experience and exposure in the first two years of the scheme.

Application

Recognising that final year students are very busy working towards to their degree, the application process for Colt Graduate Scheme is very efficient and effective. The application process will be open between 01/02/17 – 17/03/17. All applications are via www.colt.net/graduates. Please email graduates@colt.net if you have any queries or questions.

Our three step process enables you as applicants and us as employers the opportunity to make sure the fit is right.

Step 1:

By using our online portal, we will ask a series of questions for you to answer via a video recording. This will be our opportunity to ask applicants competency questions, understand more about the experience you have gained through university, school life and extra-curricular activities.

Step 2:

Once our teams have had the chance to review your submission, our successful candidates will progress to a telephone interview with our graduate ambassadors. The team will be in a position to answer further questions you may have with regards to the scheme and the company. We will also look to understand more about your experience as well as your expectations from the scheme. Prior to this call you will be provided with a list of available roles for your first placement, and will ask you submit your preferences ahead of time.

Step 3:

The best candidates from the initial telephone interview will then be invited to meet with the Colt team through an assessment centre held at our London HQ. Here you will be able to demonstrate your skills as the perfect candidate for a role on the Colt graduate scheme and speak with the Graduate Ambassador Team, HR specialists and some of our hiring managers.
