4 things I wish I had done before final year

Recalling my time as a student, I’ve been looking back a lot recently about what I could have done in my first and second years.
Sad to say, it seems like I was so busy studying so often that I didn’t really make good use of all the opportunities available.
I know it may be too late for me to regret now, but if I could go back in time, I wish I had done something like this:
1) Started my own online page…
…with Facebook storming the world since 2004, the power of social media has just changed our lives completely – thanks to Marc Zuckerberg. As a big fan of fashion, I’ve always wanted to have a little blog/space to share the stuff I fancy, spread the fashion news that brings waves off the runway and stick to all the fashion trends.
Nevertheless, every single time I thought of doing that, there’s this sense of shyness and embarrassment that just stopped me from taking a share of this vibrant world of fashion. I seriously regret not doing this!
2) Picked up French again…
…or any other European language. They’re not only good for your holiday adventures, but they will also look great on your CV. It’ll be too late when you start frowning at job ads which ask for bilingual, trilingual or even multilingual graduates.
3) Travelled more…
…be it a short or long one, be it a local tour in England, to somewhere in Europe or even to the wilder lands of Africa, you’ll always be inspired by the things you see out of town! You get to know people, you get to know different cultures and you get to know a lot that books alone won’t be able to teach you. To be honest, I’ve been to places like Italy, Austria and Belgium, but I bet there won’t be that many people who hate travelling?
4) Taken a year out…
…whether it’s for a placement, for some volunteer work or for that once-in-a-lifetime tour around the world, they’ll surely bring you a whole new perspective of your world vision.
With graduation coming soon, I probably don’t have that much time to spare at the moment. But if you can find the time, I truly encourage you to explore any opportunities that come your way! – Good luck!
