Lancaster University is a research-led university located in the North West of England. Our international reputation for academic excellence attracts some of the brightest minds from around the world to work and study at Lancaster. The Lancaster community is split into eight undergraduate colleges and a postgraduate college. The colleges provide small, close-knit communities and a home away from home, with college events, social and study spaces.

Lancaster University offers courses across four faculties: The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, The Faculty of Science and Technology, The Faculty of Health and Medicine and Lancaster University Management School.

We’re ranked in the top 15 in major UK league tables; 10th by the Complete University Guide 2025, 11th by the Guardian University Guide 2024 and 14th by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024.
